She has never shied away from talking about her appreciation for marijuana, but Lady Gaga has now opened up as to why she enjoys smoking the Class B drug.
The eccentric singer spoke about her love of weed while being interviewed by Alan Carr when she appeared on his show Chatty Man on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old superstar said: ‘The thing that I fell in love with about it is that I completely forget that I’m famous. I totally forget about it all,’ the Daily Mirror reported.

She added: ‘I take a puff and I’m me when I was 17 again in my white gogo boots looking for a job and there’s something quite creative and liberating about that.’
The comments came less than a month after she revealed that she smoked ‘up to 15 spliffs a day’ while recovering from a hip operation.
When asked if she got the munchies or started laughing at objects around the room by Carr, the Applause singer said she did.

The fashion lover chose a strapless dress for her appearance on the show, which featured a layered tulle skirt and an iPad built into the plastic bodice.
The crazy behaviour certainly didn’t stop there as she admitted she had gone to the loo in her dressing room bin prior to the show.
It was the second time the US crooner had relieved herself in the inappropriate place, before she took to the stage to perform her latest song Do What You Want.
She’s also known for her outspoken views especially when it comes to gay rights and her TV appearance saw her insist once again that it’s her duty to fight what she believes in.
Gaga’s second appearance on the hit Friday night chat show, saw her open up on causes close to her heart as well as hailing Olympian Tom Daley.
Following Tom’s YouTube video this week, which saw the 19-year-old reveal he’s in a relationship with another man, Gaga took to Twitter to comment.
She wrote: ‘Between @TomDaley1994 and @Magicjohnson ‘s Oprah Interview about his son, what an inspiring and brave week!’
When Alan asked the star about the message, Gaga was keen to get her point across on the Winter Olympic Games being staged in Russia next year:
‘I don’t think that we should be going to the Olympics at all’, she fumed. ‘I don’t know if my opinion is not highly regarded, in terms of the amazing champions and people that are rehearsing and training for the event.
‘I mean I would never take anything away from their hard work, I just think it is absolutely wrong for so many countries to give money and economy in the way of a country that doesn’t support gays’.
The singer took her Born This Way Ball tour to Russia last year, claiming that she has first hand experience of how gay men and women are treated in the country:
‘Sorry, now I’m getting serious, but it’s not just that they don’t support the gay community, they pepper spray and beat them in Russia, and I went to Russia for the Born This Way ball, and I was really excited to be there, because I felt it was an important place to bring the message of the album.’
‘But it made me very sad to see the pain that some of the gay kids are in in Russia in Russia’.
Gaga did admit though that she would never want to deprive athletes like Tom of the chance to ‘win and rejoice’:
‘For the world to send their finest for the Olympics, I just, I can’t, it just feels so wrong and sad. I hate saying that, because I’m so excited for those like Tom Daley to go and to win and to rejoice.
The hitmaker added that she doesn’t think she’ll be returning to the country after an on stage stunt during her tour didn’t go down too well: ‘I don’t think I’m even allowed in anymore because I screamed ‘I’m gay, arrest me’ on stage last time I was there, so’, she admitted.
When she wasn’t getting involved in politics, Gaga played a fun game on Chatty Man that soon descended into hilarious anarchy.
Following on from the ‘Cooking with Gaga’ sketch during her 2011 appearance on the talkshow, Alan challenged his guests Gaga, John Bishop and Heston Blumenthal to paint a portrait of him, with the model wearing nothing but a fruit bowl to preserve his modesty.
